I attended my first NHRA drag race yesterday. The Funny Cars and the Top Fuel dragsters went from 1/3 to 1/2 the length of the quater mile strip for their burnouts while the Stock class and some of the other divisions were able to do their burnouts before the staging area. Why?

If you put TOP GRADE FUEL (93 Octane – Super) or (98 Octane – RACING FUEL) into a Ford Expedition with a 5.4 Liter Triton V8 Engine…what would happen?

I was at a top fuel dragster race recently and loved the shockwave produced by these racers as they bolt off the starting line. But what specifically causes us to feel this so profoundly?

Would it be possible to take the average horsepower in a top-fuel dragster or alcohol funny car and triple it? If so, what would the speed come to in a quarter mile, and would the g-forces kill you?Hummer Parts
