As a rough figure (based on something I researched loosely about 5 years ago) an RC gas vehicle would be about like a professional top fuel dragster in terms of the power to weight ratio. Figuring scale into the mix and you can see RC vehicles running scale speeds of over 500mph. Bottom line is power versus weight ratio.
