I’ve been to both and nothing beats the NHRA, hands down. To those that think drag racing takes no skill, you’re nuts.

Drag racing is by far the best to see in person. Nascar is good too but nothing like seeing drag racing in person.

I have to agree with you.I enjoyed Nascar at first, but I got bored with it. It has become something of a who’s who on the celebrity side of it. Every weekend the guys in the booths don’t really have anything new to say about the 70 or so drivers that make up the Nascar world.I mean how many different ways can you sit and talk about them every weekend?
Sure numbers change, even attitudes change. But please its just way too much of the same thing weekend in and weekend out.
Now drag racing…WOW, unless you’ve been to one and experience the chest beating thunder of those monsters, and breathed in those nitro-methane fumes, you have just not lived yet.
I used to attend the Long Beach Grand Prix, every year. That is how road racing was meant to be. Very, very exciting.
I cant believe too the massive crowds that NASCAR draws. Its very impressive. But is this the direction the American public is headed? We are fully engrossed by a Billion dollar industry that really just goes around in circles. Its starting to look like its going the way that pro wrestling went. Please don’t start me on that one. The moronic mentality here just flaws me.
Is this what entertains us….Uh-Oh we are in trouble.

Having the chance to drive all 3(or versions of them) I felt more in controll and secure in the full body “NASCAR” stockcar. Then in the local non-sanction street trock drag raing I felt a slight comfort level and in formula “VEE” running left and right turns I felt like I was on the verge of being out of controll.
So I will have to go with NASCAR.

Once again, I wish I could just resend over and over with the push of a button: Nascar 1 “kind” of car, goes in circles, same cars for hours. Drag racing funny cars, dragsters, bikes, snow mobiles, street cars, junior dragsters(for the little ones) blowers, nitrous, turbos, flames, scented fuel,”run-what-u-brung”, and you dont have to be a milionaire to race here, you dont even have to have a top name sponsor or any sponsor to enjoy. For all u racing fans, check out the drag racing circuit that I coordinate for http://www.chicagowiseguys.com. Also go to http://www.greatlakesdragaway.com for video and pics. We are also on u-tube. check it out!!! YOU WONT BE SORRY!!!!

I prefer drag racing more than any other form of racing. I enjoy watching it in person or on tv, but I prefer to participate more than anything.
I have raced on 5 different occasions and took home a trophy 3 times, and even got on a national tv commercial once.

how is that a question but if your asking which is better i would say Indie

TOO Many Big Egos In Nascar, All They Wanna Do Is Fight Each Other.
Drag Racing Is My Favorite. More Family Oriented. Drivers Don`t Usually Get Mad At Each Other.
Plus Its Loud And Fast.
If You Ever Go To A Drag Racing Event You`ll Be Hooked.

I don’t have to choose. I can be involved or watch all three. I agree that drag racing is more family friendly. I’ve been going to drag races for about 7 years now, and have yet to see anyone fighting anywhere. Nothing compares to a top fuel dragster making a 4.5 second 1/4 mile run.

Indy also goes in circles, just like NASCAR; however, in NASCAR, the racing is better, there are more quality passes (b/c there are over twice as many cars on the track as Indy), plus the races are longer.
BTW, I hate to break it to you, but drag racing only goes in straight lines, which is even more boring than circles.
October 26th, 2009 at 7:26 am
They are all great if you know what to watch for.
October 26th, 2009 at 1:14 pm
It,s like this….Nascar,NHRA,and then maybe indy….Nope then it,s world of outlaws!!!!!!!!!!!
October 26th, 2009 at 3:25 pm
I don’t like dressing up in drag. Watching people fly around in circles until they hit each other is boring too-but it does have it’s exciting parts! Still, you will not catch me dressing as a girl.

Drag racing.

I like them all every kind of racing. But I will admit NA$CAR has become one of my least favorite not because of them going in circles but because of all the childish rules changes that has happen in the past recent years to appease the newbie children they have drawn in. I would like to see them kick the newbie idiotic rules to the curb along with the newbie know it all’s and I guarantee you the world would spin just a whole lot better.

Drag Racing nothing beats the noise, the feel and actually getting to meet the drivers and crews. Getting to watch them work on the cars. NASCAR AND IRL dont let most people into the pits…
October 27th, 2009 at 3:18 am
asscar is full of million dollar whiners, indy cars are good but they seem to be on a downhill slide, NHRA is the place to be and to all of you who say its not hard to drive, lets put your cheeks in the seat and see how well you do!!!!!!
October 27th, 2009 at 3:20 am
drag racing sucks, not much talent involved, you just have to be brave. so it`s a toss up between nascar and indy
October 27th, 2009 at 8:46 am
as long as its racing
October 27th, 2009 at 10:26 am
Forget those choices. F1 is the best hands down.
