Drag race is the best although I am a nascar fan too. But I’d rather watch drag racing on tv or in person. At least at the drags, the pit pass is included and you do get to me the drivers and see the crew work. The smell of burnt rubber and the way everything inside of you shakes when the cars leave the tree. Nothing compairs to it. I’m a drag racing fan for life.

You can’t expect the entire world to ALL like all forms of racing. I do not like nor watch drag racing, formula one, Indy or Pinks type stuff. I’m strictly NASCAR and thats it.
NASCAR is the #1 auto racing sport in America. It’s growing, it’s bringing in money and fans. You just aren’t seeing a big turn out with the other forms of racing as your are seeing with NASCAR. Thats why everything is NASCAR!
NASCAR is where the real fun is!!

You said it yourself, 6-7 seconds. I travel across the country to watch for 3-4 hours a Nascar race… not for a few seconds. I have seen drag races and they are just not my cup of tea. Try another site to discuss your racing.

No offense, but I grew out of drag racing when I was 18, running stoplight to stoplight in my old ’69 Camaro. One helluva 7 or 8 second thrill, then it’s over. Kinda like bungee jumping.
A lot of people feel that a trained chimp can go fast in a straight line. I wouldn’t go that far, as there’s the whole ability-to-react factor. But oval & road racing requires so much more human input: acting, as well as reacting. Endurance. Controlling tempers.

There is nothing wrong with drag racing but this is the nascar forum.
