Will My Stock 2000 1.6l Honda Civic Lx Beat A 1970 Chevelle Ss 454 In A Quarter Mile Drag Race?
I have a magnaflow cat back exhaust but i dont know if that helps, i also will put some 110 octane racing fuel in it. I told the guy i would bet 100$ on it.

the Chevelle should do 1/4 mile in 14 seconds, your Honda will do a 1/4 in 16 or so, the Civic will be slower with 110 octane fuel if it run well at all. Octane rating is the resistance to being ignited. Useful if you have a very high compression engine which yours is not.

dude….if you’re SERIOUSLY going to ask if an import that happens to be STOCK will win against an AMERICAN MUSCLE with a 454 as opposed to a friggin INLINE V6….you’re a fool who will loose a pretty penny….
if you want to win against that beast you’re going to need three things that will possibly help you win that bet…..
1.) Cold Air Intake
2.) Power Programmer
3.) Nos or Zex….Nitrous…..recommended is ZEX because of the smart system (only opens in full throttle)

If it is a stock Honda Civic, I don’t think you have a chance. The only thing that would play in your favor is a huge weight break.
