Are Many Nascar Fans Also Fans Of Nhra Drag Racing?
I can only speak for myself and my husband. We love NASCAR and the NHRA.

Yes, or they should be. Drag racing gave birth, to all forms of motorsports. People were drag racing before they even had cars. Men raced chariots in the Roman empire days. As soon as the automobile was made, men were racing each other to see which car was faster. Drag racing means the race begins from a “dead stop”, and you race to a designated point, or length of track, in a straight line. When the evolution of the automobile advanced, man wanted to expand on the competitive nature that the automobile could provide. He then started to do “endurance racing”. Men would race their cars across the country from coast to coast to see who was the fastest. They decided to put these races on a track and let people watch. NASCAR was born. Instead of watching a race that lasts just several seconds, we can watch a full endurance race that lasts hours. But to the true motorsports enthusiast, drag racing is the benchmark of competition to show who has the faster car, and the driver to get it there.

See, I’m an action kind of guy. Drag racing, to me, is better than the Brickyard, but not as good as 90% of the tracks we go to. I like the crashes, but they go WAY faster and those are WAY more dangerous.

Stock cars at Talladega going 3 wide at 200 mph pale in comparison to an 8,000 hp top fuel dragster. The sky burns, the ground shakes, and your ears bleed. Nothing on this earth compares to a top fuel car making a 300 mph pass.

Yes ofcourse. I drag race myself. I’ve attended every NHRA event at Gateway so far. Like 14(?) years.

Drag racing rates down with twiddley winks in my eyes.
Not near as many thumbs down as I expected but drag racing does nothing for me.

I enjoy both, Nascar is the bigger draw for me, but NHRA is really great to watch as well.
