I Want To Get Involved In Drag Racing. How Do I Do This?
Do you want to drive or just help on someone else’s car? First thing I would do is find the closest drag strip to go to and start getting to know people, cars, and classes. If you want to, you can race your daily driver – usually in the footbrake class. Check out Chasinracin.net. They have a race track locator on the website to find your local dragstrip. If you don’t live close enough to a track, you’re gonna have to move! Be warned, drag racing is extremely addictive. If you do it once, you’ll probably get hooked. Drag racing is also the cheapest form of motorsports. You don’t have to spend a ton of money to win in some classes of drag racing.

Build a fast car (which is expensive), and run it at your local track. A lot of tracks have different classes that race at different times during the weekends. Then when you get your to a cetain speed, check out different associations for the car you are running. My hubby and I are part of the NMRA, National Mustang Racers Association. Good luck.
